Founded in 2001, NISF has connected thousands of like-minded individuals and is one of the longest- standing Bay Area organizations committed to serving professionals who wish to create social and environmental change in their community and through their careers.

The global pandemic has provided us a window of opportunity to witness the urgent need for a more sustainable world and change direction. We’ve seen how the compounded threats of climate change, COVID-19 and racial injustice have exposed structural inequalities in our societies.

As a chapter, we’ve adapted to the new normal and hosted monthly events virtually, to spark action in areas including environmental racism, ESG practices, access to clean water and fair trade. We’re excited to continue engaging thought leaders and inspiring our community through our blog. Join us as we share our journey, what we do and our challenges and accomplishments along the way.
